It's so exciting to see jobs come together in the plant. One day, you have a pile of unfinished beams and arches, the next you have something that approximates the finished job.
For this job we made several hybrid barrel+Tudor arches. They have a straight arch leg that curves on the inside, like a Tudor arch. Instead of a straight roof with the arches meeting at the peak, this roof line is curved in a barrel shape. (more on that in a later post.)
For these arches, we attached outlookers to create a roof overhang. We had to do some precision finishing work to attach the outlooker to the arch, and to the outlooker support pieces. As you can see, it all fits 'like a glove' even before the bolts were tightened!
