Glulam Bridges And Stair Towers

New pedestrian bridges and stair towers are taking shape at a nearby college. The entire superstructure is glulam that we manufactured, right down to the stair stringers and treads. When complete, students and faculty will have a beautiful way to get around this hilly campus.

To work around these hills, the project consists of a small upper landing structure (not pictured) connected by a 49' span covered bridge to the top floor of a stair tower. Another 52' multi-span bridge connects the 2nd floor of the tower to an adjacent building.

Floors, walls, and ceilings will all be exposed wood decking with exterior brick facade on the tower and landing.
